Once upon a time…

… there was a gigantic continent called Gondwana.

Millions of years ago, this supercontinent started to fracture into different pieces.

In the centre, a smaller piece came loose from the larger parts. It immediately became an isolated piece of land.

Madagascar was born !

This island remained uninhabited until the beginning of our era. It became a true paradise where animals and plants could grow and develop freely.

Thanks to its early separation from Gondwana and the recent arrival of men, the fauna and flora of Madagascar has developed in a unique way.

Those are the reasons why the biodiversity of Madagascar is so impressive and why most of the animal and vegetal species living on the island are endemic.

Today, Madagascar is still seen as one of the last pieces of paradise on earth. We invite you to discover it with us !
